Who Says Wokeism is Not a Religion?
Woke metaphysics play a central role in my new book, American Spirit or Great Awokening? Here's your chance to become an early reviewer.
Is Wokeism a religion? It depends who you ask.
If you ask me, the answer better “yes” because the metaphysics of Wokeism is a major theme of my new book.
Two groups of people would disagree, at times angrily:
First are the Woke themselves, many of whom disdain the entire concept of religion and the remainder of whom still count themselves as nominal adherents of some traditional faith.
Second are the faithful, who feel that the category of “religion” would be cheapened by extending it to include a set of beliefs they consider heretical, dangerous, and at least borderline insane.
Having thus alienated everyone, my job is to drum up readership. Fortunately, I’ve got some help. RealClearBooks has named American Spirit or Great Awokening? book of the week.
If you’ve been reading my musings, you know the basic argument: America is suffering from a deep spiritual crisis. Wokeism is a brilliant new religion designed to appeal to our spiritually starved elite. America’s response must be a reconnection with our own spiritual roots and a re-introduction of traditional faith into culture and civic life.
Now it’s up to you. I need readers and reviewers. So go ahead. Buy the book. Read the book. Post a review with lots and lots of stars. You all know the drill. Get to it! (And thanks).

I do!
It has all the trappings (and adherents) of a religion. Looking forward the book. Any plans for an audio book?
